Worst Shopping Experience Ever!

Warning - this is a text intensive post!

On 22 November 2015, we decided to go shopping at Palm Mall.
We went to Watsons. Guardians, Etude House, The Face Shop and many other places to check out whether there were any great deals that we just cannot miss...

Finally we decided we will do our shopping at Sasa.
I did not expect it to be so unpleasant but it turned out that way!

The main reason I decided to shop there was because of this!

Purchase with Purchase Special - Buy above RM 250 to purchase a mini pobbling ion applicator for RM 38

Incident 1
One of the salesperson came to told use that we can purchase it for RM 38 if we buy above RM 180
I pointed out to her that it was RM 250 on the printed booklet.
She said if we spend above RM 250 we will get free mask (I believe it was from b.liv)
I was pretty happy to hear that we do not need to spend that much.

When we went to pay, the salesperson went to lunch.
The other salesperson said no one said you can get the mini pobbling ion applicator for RM 38 with purchases above RM 180

Incident 2
One of the salesperson looked stared at baby sis because she tried a lot of different eyeliner testers
She did not stop staring until my mom said "She is using the testers only"
She went to her colleague at the back and started whispering
As though we will open new eyeliners to test...

No one came to serve us or even greet us.
They followed us around as though we will steal.
They do not bother to explain anything to us until we ask.
We had to look around to see where they are to ask them questions

They discriminate us because we were buying cheap stuff and stuff that are on discounts/promotions
Hello, the economy is bad now, of course we want to save as much as we can for other stuff as well

Why do I say that?
Two of the salesperson were fighting over one of the customer because she was buying an expensive brand. Not exactly fighting over, but one was explaining to the customer while the other one was nearby looking

We were just beside her trying to ask questions but she was too focused on the customer

We asked the salesperson whether the eyeliners for a specific brand was on a buy 1 free 1 promotions.
She said yes
We also asked whether the lipsticks were on buy 1 free 1 promotions and she said yes
When we were paying, we found out it was not!

We checked the receipt before leaving and found out the eyeliners were not on promotions
They did not even know or check
When we asked, they check it again and found out it was not on buy 1 free 1 promotion
She said she did not say it was on promotions
She insist we did not ask about the eyeliners, only the lipsticks

But we did

Then she went to check for the eyeliners and came back saying that only a few colors was on buy 1 free 1 promotions
We were super annoyed.

She came back telling us that there was a 10 percent discount instead
My mood was not good.

Incident 3
I saw a very cheap make up sponge on sale but I did not managed to find it so I went around looking for the salesperson to help me locate it.
She simply took one and ask me whether it was the one I was looking for.
Excuse me... How would I know?
I pointed to the item on your promotions booklet.
You should know better than me.
So I took it anyway, then looked at the price.
It was not the same as the price on the promotions booklet.
She did not managed to find it.

Her reply was "I think it was printed wrongly on the promotions booklet"

Wow, very professional!
She did not even asked or confirmed it with any of her colleagues.

Incident 4
My sister has sasa member card but it was not with us. We asked whether we can use the member card if we have the card number.
The first salesperson said no.
The second salesperson said if we have the card number then we are entitled for 5 percent discount
So we asked my sister to send a picture of her member card to us.
We waited for quite a long time to get the card number and...

When we were paying both the salespersons were there but NOW the salesperson said they need to photocopy the member card. Wth??!!
Photocopy our phone la! Of course we didn't say that but we were super annoyed
I did not even want to look at them
They looked very annoyed as well, BUT we are your customers!

No one served us so when we were paying all the salesperson were gathering... maybe they will fight over the commission later

Incident 4
The customer behind us was holding RM 15 in her hand
She saw the price on the display was more than what she had.
So she pointed to the promotions booklet

This incident proved that we were not the only ones.

In conclusion, the salesperson are very unprofessional, discriminate us (especially those like us - buying cheap stuff) and we were not the only victims

I will not do any on my shopping at this outlet ever again!
The salesperson only apologized once (not even sincere) for all the incidents and inconveniences they had caused

  2. All those incidents added up is very, very horrible customer service, and I can totally understand how you feel. I suggest you contact SaSa management, either through Facebook or other social media outlets, as well as sending them a complaint. This is extremely irresponsible and the staff's attitude is deplorable, plus giving customers wrong/misleading information due to not being familiar with promotions/products is no excuse, especially when it is already printed on the booklet.

  3. The only two SASA outlets I love are MV and Sungei Wang. The rest have the same problem especially the one at 1U!!!! My friend went to buy hair mask. One of the consultants intro her one, and my friend requested to have more choices. The consultant said the one on her hand is the cheapest one! Hey! It is not the pricing problem. We just need more choices!
