Review: Nature Republic Snail Solution Mask Sheet

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

I am trying my very best to down size my sheet masks stash!

Here is another one that I tried out recently.

Description
Ultra moisturizing mask sheet with snail secretion filtrate to create moisturized and healthy skin

Ingredients

Directions
After toner, apply mask sheet for 10-15 minutes

A picture just to give you an idea of the thickness of the sheet mask

My thoughts
This is one of the free samples I received.

~PACKAGING~
Packaging is simple just like all the other masks in the market
I like the design

~SCENT~
The scent is light and refreshing.
I like it

~TEXTURE~
The mask is of cotton like material.

~PRODUCT~
There is a lot of essence in the sachet and it is of a thicker gel consistency. It took some time to finally slide it out of the sachet unlike most of the others where the essence is extremely runny. I like that the mask is quite thin and fits my face quite well (except it was little big towards the chin area). There is a lot of essence left on my face after removing the mask. It is a little sticky and oily. Somehow the stickiness and oiliness just stays on my face so I decided to wash it off. After washing it off, I did feel that my face is moisturized, softer and smoother.

Pros
No allergic reaction or breakouts
Light and refreshing scent
Mask is thin and fits my face quite well
Moisturized my face

Cons
Scent is strange
Left an oily and sticky feeling on my face

Repurchase
No way!

The fresh gel-type cleansing gel foam effectively removes makeup residue and impurities from your skin with its rich aloe vera extract

Directions

Gently massage on face and rinse thoroughly with warm water

Ingredients

 My thoughts
I am not going to lie. I bought this because it is cheap and I saw good reviews on this!

~PACKAGING~
Simple tube packaging

~SCENT~
Surprisingly, I love the scent. If you had been reading my blog for a while now, you will know that I do not really enjoy aloe scent.
It has a very light refreshing aloe scent

~TEXTURE~
Clear gel texture and easy to spread or lather

~PRODUCT~
I love this cleansing gel from the first day I started using it!
I started using this 25 November 2015
It feels very similar to the aloe gel but it is so easy to lather
I feel that my face is clean... but not squeaky clean!

I love the refreshing feeling after I cleansed my face.
It is quite hard to find a suitable cleanser for me.
This is very gentle for my skin and my skin does not feel tight afterwards
I love it because my skin is no longer flaky or patchy!

I do not depend on this cleanser to remove my makeup at all.
Just look at the pictures below.

From left to right: Tony Moly lip tint, Silkygirl Eyeliner, Skinfood under eye pencil, Missha perfect eybrow styler, Wet n Wild Brow & Eyeliner Pencil, Wet n Wild Lipstick

I tried washing some makeup off my hands with it and it does not removes most makeup. lol
I double cleanse so it is not a big deal...

Pros
I love the light refreshing scent
Cleansing power is good
Gentle on skin, leaving it soft, smooth and fresh
Easy to lather
No more flaky or patchy skin

Cons
Cannot remove makeup
Contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate and a few preservatives (cosdna

Repurchase?
Maybe, I love this but it contains some questionable ingredients

Recommendation?
I do recommend  this to everyone because I love it and it is not drying. Lol
Not suitable for those who are serious when it comes to the ingredient list.

Review: Nature Republic Original Power Wrinkle Eye Cream

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

I am always trying new eye care products because I need a good one...
Sadly I have not found it yet...
So here is another review of an eye cream!

I started using this on 19 May 2015.
All information taken from cosmeticoskorea

~BRAND~
Nature Republic

~NAME~
Original Power Wrinkle Eye Cream

~PRICE~
USD9.22

~CAPACITY~
30ml

Featuring the massage stick... >,<

Description
Natural anti-wrinkle eye cream which contains green leaf plant extracts such as cucumber, tomatoes, cabbage, raspberry, carrot, cacao and brocolli
Protects skin and deeply moisturizes dry and saggy skin
Paraben, mineral oil, benzophenone, artificial colors and ethanol free
Suitable for all skin types, sensitive skin

Ingredients

Directions (taken from koreadepart)
Before your cream, apply moderate amount on eyes and tap lightly for absorption.
For more effect, apply eye cream after massaging eyes lightly with acupressure stick exclusive for eyes.

My thoughts
I decided to purchase this because it is inexpensive.

The buttery texture of the cream

~PACKAGING~
The tube packaging is simple and it comes with a massage stick which fits nicely in the box.
It is easy to control the amount dispensed,

~SCENT~
The scent is a light.
I did not particularly enjoy the scent but it is not disturbing either

~TEXTURE~
It looks like cream but feels like butter.
It has a milky white color.
It is easy to spread.

~PRODUCT~
The texture of the eye cream is a little different than usual. I like it because it is easy to spread and it is not sticky or oily at all. It absorbs almost immediately into the skin. I have been using this for quite a while now. It did not claim to reduce or remove the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles. It provides decent hydration to my eye areas. I think this is a pretty decent eye cream. It did not break me out or cause milia seeds. I did not try to use this product with the massage stick because I am too lazy... Haha

After using this for more than three months, I did not think it helps with my fine lines or dark circles (or even wrinkles). Other than providing decent hydration, it did not help much...
Sadly, this is not what I am looking for...

Pros
Not sticky or oily
Provides decent hydration
Affordable
Love the texture
Easy to spread
Fast absorption

Cons
Scent is not my cup of tea
Did not do anything to reduce the appearance of fine lines/dark circles/wrinkles

Repurchase?

I might repurchase this

Recommendation?
I think this is worth a try for those looking for affordable eye creams or want to prevent wrinkles.
I do not recommend this for those with oily skin as it might be a little heavy.

Pros
:) Absorption is really fast
:) Minimal stickiness

Cons
:( Scent is quite strong
:( Oily after application

Review: Nature Republic Fresh Farm Peach Foam Cleanser

Monday, March 24, 2014

Today's review will be on a facial cleanser from Nature Republic. This was a free gift.

The packaging looks really cheap and plain to me

Ingredients
Water, myristic acid, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, stearic acid, cocamide dea, glycerin, sodium lauroyl acetate, prunus persica (peach) leaf extract, anthemis nobilis flower extract, foeniculum vulgare (fennel) leaf extract, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower/leaf/stem extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, butylparaben, disodium edta, yellow 6

A simple tube with a small opening

The cleanser is white and smooth

A little lathers up very well

The cleanser has a peachy scent which is pleasant. I think it is easy to squeeze/control the cleanser. A small amount of cleanser produces a rich lather. The cleansing power of this cleanser is great... maybe a little too great... After three days of continuous use, my nose started flaking. I was a little surprised as my nose is kind of oily. Since it started flaking, I stopped using the cleanser. I guess it is just too dry.

Pros
:) I love the peachy scent
:) No allergic reaction or breakouts
:) My skin feel squeaky clean after use

Cons
:( Too dry until my nose started flaking

Rating: 1/5 (for the scent)
