Saturday, August 27, 2016

~BRAND~
Annie's Way

~NAME~
Snail Repairing Jelly Mask

~PRICE~
RM 99 (hermo)

~CAPACITY~
250g

It's been a while since I last pampered my skin with jelly masks by Annie's Way!
To be honest, Annie's Way is one of my favorite brand.
The very first post I did when I started this blog was on the famous Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask (review here)

I tried out different varieties of jelly masks from Annie's Way as well as from some other brands such as Coni Beauty and Hanaka
The black jelly masks from Coni Beauty and Hanaka are good but I still prefer Annie's Way.

I personally believe that the effect from Annie's Way is better but it is also one of the most expensive one

Description
Snail essence has excellent repair function, can nourish and long lasting moisture your skin. Suitable for dry and normal skin.

Directions
1. After cleansing and toning face, spread a generous layer (about 0.3-0.5 cm thick) on face
2. Leave the mask on face for 30-40 minutes
3. Scrape off with spatula
4.Tissue off the excess jelly mask and rinse with water
5. Use twice a week

Ingredients
Dist Water, Corbopol, Butylene Glycol, Hyaluronic Acid, Xeradin 24, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Soy Extract, Snail Secretion Extract, D-Panthenol, Licorice Eco, Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropyl Butylcarbamate

My thoughts
I am looking forward to use this!

~PACKAGING~
Very simple tub packaging.
Less hygienic as the jelly masks are exposed to dust/dirt when opened

~SCENT~
The scent is very strong for me...
It has a strong perfume scent and it reminds me of the Lemon Aiyu (Chatime) I had the day before... Very SOUR!

~TEXTURE~
Clear jelly like texture...
It is easy to spread

~PRODUCT~
I miss Annie's Way jelly mask! It feels soothing and light on my skin. Halfway through the session I did feel a slight tingling sensation for a few seconds. It did not feel extremely uncomfortable so I did not wash it off until the session is over. I left it on for 35 minutes. I noticed that my skin is softer, smoother and brighter. It provides decent hydration but somehow it is not enough for my extremely dry skin. It is easier to remove blackheads and whiteheads after using the jelly mask. I think the pores on my nose were a little smaller but those around my cheeks remained the same. The result with one usage is good for me. I did notice that this is easier to wash off as compared to Coni Beauty Black Jelly Mask. I will definitely continue using this! I tried using this when my skin was irritated and when the pimples were out of control. It did not irritate my skin in any way but it did not soothe my skin either... I did notice that the pores were smaller and blackheads were also less visible after using for the second time!

Pros
Makes skin softer, smoother and brighter
Easier to remove whiteheads and blackheads
No allergic reaction
Easy to spread
Provides decent hydration

Cons
Difficult to wash off
Strong scent
Not hygienic as product is in a tub

Repurchase?
I will definitely repurchase this if I have the budget... lol

Review: Annie's Way Anti Allergy Masks

Saturday, June 11, 2016

Today I am going to review a few sheet masks from Annie's Way anti allergy series (pink color). I bought these at MaskSlim a long time ago.

I like the packaging :)

The mask up close... Quite thin right?

The clear and runny essence

Oats Anti-Allergy Mask
Oats has rich vitamin B, protein and mineral that nourishes, whitens and moisturizes dry skin. It helps to reduce skin peeling and sensitivity.

The main ingredients are oat beta-glucan, peony root extract, coxi-extract, cucumber extract, hyaluronic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate.

The instruction is to apply the mask for 10-15 minutes.

The sheet mask is a little big for my face. The scent is a little strange like a mixed of vanilla and oats (not sure) but I like it. There is a lot of essence. Even after 15 minutes, the mask is still wet. There is a lot of essence on my face. I am not sure if my skin was able to absorb all the essence. No allergic reaction :)

Pros
:) Scent is strange but nice
:) Skin is hydrated and not sticky
:) Skin is a little more bouncy/elastic
:) I like the packaging (simple yet nice)

Cons
:( Not easily accessible as it is only available at MaskSlim
:( Skin did not appear brighter/whither (maybe one use was not enough) >,<

Rating: 4/5
Repurchase: Yes

Lavender Sleeping Mask

The mask claims to relaxes and soothes skin while repairing its damages.

The main ingredients are lavender extract, oat beta-glucan, d-pantheon, hyaluronic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate.

The instruction is to apply the mask for 10-15 minutes.

The sheet mask is a little big for my face. The scent is acceptable. There is a lot of essence. Even after 15 minutes, the mask is still wet. There is a lot of essence on my face. I am not sure if my skin was able to absorb all the essence. My skin was allergic... maybe to certain ingredients.

Pros
:) Scent is acceptable
:) The mask does soothes my skin
:) Skin is hydrated and not sticky
:) I like the packaging (simple yet nice)

Cons
:( Not easily accessible as it is only available at MaskSlim
:( I could see red patches on one side of my face 10-15 minutes after I removed the mask. I thought it was supposed to be for sensitive skin >,<

Rating: 2/5
Repurchase: No

Aloe Moisturizing Mask

The mask claims to revitalizes over dry skin, leaving your skin with a visibly healthy, youthful glow .

The main ingredients are aloe extract, cucumber extract, chamomile extract, hyaluronic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate.

The instruction is to apply the mask for 10-15 minutes.

The sheet mask is a little big for my face. It has a light sweet scent. There is a lot of essence. Even after 15 minutes, the mask is still wet. It took a while for my skin to drink up the essence. There was a little tingling sensation at first but luckily nothing happens! It was pretty good actually! My skin was extremely hydrated, smooth and bouncy! I love this!

Pros
:) Scent is light
:) Skin is hydrated, smooth and bouncy
:) Zero stickiness
:) I like the packaging (simple yet nice)

Cons
:( Not easily accessible as it is only available at MaskSlim

I did not manage to get all the different varieties...
These are all that I have tried so far...

Review: Annie's Way Aloe Moisturizing Jelly Mask

Thursday, March 27, 2014

I bought this around Christmas last year at MaskSlim @ Sunway Pyramid. Normal price was RM 75 for 250 ml. I went in and asked the salesgirl whether there was any promotion and she told me buy 1 free 1 for RM 75. Super cheap. I ended up buying 6 tubs for myself and my sisters!

So colorful right? Lol
This is not the first jelly mask I used from Annie's Way. I actually have great confidence in products by Annie's Way. Well, before I tried the sheet masks (my face reacted quite badly), I do have great confidence in the brand =,=. I can not really remember the sheet mask I tried but I think it was from the hydration series (blue).

All the jelly masks are in a tub of 250 ml

Description on the tub:
Aloe revitalizes overdry skin, leaving your skin with a visibly healthy

Ingredients:
Aloe Extract, Chlorophyl, Seaweed Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate

Instructions:
1. After cleansing and toning face, spread a generous layer (about 0.3-0.5 cm thick) on face

2. Leave the mask on face for 30-40 minutes

3. Scrape off with spatula

4.Tissue off the excess jelly mask and rinse with water

5. Use twice a week

From this picture, the jelly mask looks a little green, maybe it's the container.
This is a close up of the jelly mask. It is very clear.
The scent is aloe and to me it is a little strong. When scraping, try to scrape inwards. Remember to apply generously as it is hard to scrape off when the mask dries out. The jelly mask is very soothing and comfortable. After applying the mask, my face is softer and brighter! A great way to pamper my skin ^o^
This is included in my skincare routine (click here)

Pros:
:) My face is softer and brighter
:) Very soothing and comfortable
:) Affordable
:) No allergic reaction

Cons:
:( The scent is a little too strong as compared to Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask.
:( Less hygienic as product is in a tub
:( A little difficult to wash off

Review: Annie's Way Anti Wrinkle Eye Mask

Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Today's review will be on Annie's Way Anti Wrinkle Eye Mask. This is a free gift from one of Annie's Way jelly mask.

The mask claims to treat dry and wrinkle prone eye area.

The main ingredients are marine collagen, hyaluronic acid, ginkgo extract, mulberry bark extract, vitamin E and squalene.

The instruction was to apply the mask for 10-15 minutes.
The packaging is simple
This is how the mask looks like and the one on the right is the pearl paper

I like the design of the mask. The design of the mask force me to relax because the eye mask covers the eye lids as well. The mask is very thin. The scent is similar to Annie's Way Pearl Whitening Mask. The scent is light and fresh. There is a lot of essence. The mask is completely soaked with essence and after applying the mask for 15 minutes, the mask is still wet. There is still a lot of essence in the packaging. No allergic reaction... thumbs up! The mask hydrates very well. The fine lines under my eyes were a little less obvious.

Pros
:) I like the scent of the sheet mask
:) The mask hydrates very well
:) Not sticky
:) I like the packaging and the design of the mask
:) No allergic reaction

Cons
:( I cannot move around when I applied this mask because it covers the eye lids

Rating: 4/5
Repurchase: Yes

Review: Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask

Monday, December 23, 2013

Finding a suitable mask for a person with sensitive skin is difficult. I have been using Annie's Way Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask for a while now.
I bought it at MaskSlim @Tropicana City Mall as it was on promotion around March 2013 (buy 1 free 1 for RM 100). I cannot resist promotions :p
It comes in a tub (250 ml)
Description on the tub:
Whitening, moisturizing, minimizes fine lines, leaves skin radiantly bright

Ingredients:
Arbutin Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Vitamin EC, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate

Clear gel like texture
Instructions:
1. After cleansing and toning face, spread a generous layer (about 0.3-0.5 cm thick) on face
2. Leave the mask on face for 30-40 minutes
3. Scrape off with spatula
4.Tissue off the excess jelly mask and rinse with water
5. Use twice a week

My thoughts:
The scent is very light. The jelly mask will soften whiteheads and blackheads. Sometimes when I scrape off the jelly mask, I can see some blackheads on the jelly mask. After using the jelly mask, it is easier for me to squeeze out the blackheads and whiteheads. I do not need to squeeze forcefully to get the blackheads out. I used this once or twice in a week (view my skincare routine here). It is very gentle and mild on skin and give a refreshing feel. In my opinion, the mask really does what it claims. My skin is brighter, softer and fairer after one usage :) I do not think it minimizes the fine lines... Even after finishing the whole tub... I did not see any difference on the fine lines... Still, this is a great mask.

Pros
:) Whitens, brighten and hydrates face
:) Feel refreshed
:) Affordable
:) Suitable for sensitive skin

Cons
:( Less hygienic as product is in a tub
:( A little difficult to wash off
Rating: 4.5/5
Repurchase: Yes

I repurchased this in Hong Kong (massive skincare haul
I just love this!

***
This is just for sharing :) I do not benefit in any way as I bought all the products I review myself (or gifts from friends/family). When I first bought this it was only RM 65 per tub (March 2013). I think the price went up to RM 75 (end of 2013) and the price increased again to RM 85 per tub (March 2014). It is no longer within my budget... >.< lol

I know a lot of you readers are interested in buying this product by looking at the comments.
For those of you planning to travel (or transiting) to Malaysia, there is a new outlet ("MaskSlim" - their best seller is Annie's Way jelly mask) in KLIA2 so I hope this is a good news for you guys!
