My Wedding - Part 5

Thursday, February 20, 2014

There was no time to rest. I had to change my hairstyle and reapply make up. I reached the restaurant at around 12:30pm. When we entered, we had to go on stage to cut the cake and then go back to our table. Food was served but we only managed to sit down for 10 or maybe 15 minutes then I had to go change into my second gown. Once again, we entered and head straight up the stage. We invited our parents, 兄弟 and 姐妹 on to the stage to drink the champagne with us. Of course, we have to toast - Yam Seng!

We finally managed to sit down and eat. When we left the first time, there were 2 dishes on our table. When we returned, there were about 5 dishes. I was hungry but I didn't feel like eating. Maybe it was too hectic and my mood was not right. We managed to sit down for a while only... then we stood up and go to every table to toast until we ran out of time. We had to be at the reception to see our guests off. Of course, it was time to take photos again. I was wearing heels.. I think 3 inches... My feet was wobbly from standing...

After most guests had left, we thought we could finally rest. My hubby's classmates were still waiting. They wanted him to drink more wine... hmm... We had a group photo after that. At around 4 pm everything is done. Finally, we went home. I changed into normal wear then went over to my make up artist to return some accessories she lent to me. We are finally free... we went home and sleep straight away. We only woke up around 10 pm... Then hubby noticed I was having a fever. Luckily my immune system went kaboom only after my wedding... Took a shower and ate medicine then continue sleeping at around 11 pm. We woke up around 8 am the next morning. This is how tiring a wedding can be... hehehe

Our wedding presents from his parents and siblings.
Thank you :)
Wedding presents from my siblings ;)

I am really thankful to all those who came for our wedding lunch. I am extremely happy to see my friends who came all the way from KL and of course my babies and jimuis. My brother had helped me a lot with the video of hubby and me growing up. My mother and sisters had helped me with all the guest list and everything else. My in laws were extremely helpful in all the wedding preparations... almost everything! I have to say thank you to my make up artist for making me so beautiful on my big day and to our photographers.

I am very lucky to have such loving and caring families. Looking forward to my days ahead as Mrs. Tay :)

My Wedding - Part 4

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

One day before our actual wedding day, I went to get all the gowns, coats and accessories and my dad drove all the way down to JB. I tried to bring them to Jusco Tebrau and then I noticed... I noticed that I was so lost in JB... Mainly because hubby was always the one driving and I never bothered to remember the way... Or I thought I remember la... Then it turns out this way...

Finally we arrive at Jusco and I rushed over to do my mani padi. They went to eat without me... Nandos... I also want... When I finished, they only save a small chicken wing and one piece of wedges for me... So nice right? hahaha

Pink!

After that I wanted to bring them for dinner but... too bad we were lost again... so after trying a few times I finally gave up so we went back to the home stay. We had dinner nearby... Thank you to my dad for having so much patience... Driver did not complain yet but I already gave up!

Actual Day - 19 January 2014

I woke up at 4:45 am and my make up artist arrive at 5 am. So she started with my make up then helped me change into my wedding gown and continued with my hair. I was ready around 7 am.

Make up time
So colorful!
The wedding gown I chose
My bling bling shoes
Totally prepared!

I only had two sips of milo for breakfast. Nothing else. I was nervous so I was not feeling hungry at the time. My hubby arrived at about 7:30 am with his 兄弟(groomsmen). My 姐妹 (bridesmaids) were all ready with their games. Too bad I had to wait in my room so I don't really know what happened outside. Just wait until I get my hands on the videos *evil grin*. I waited in my room for about half an hour. I knew a little about the games they were playing outside from my bridesmaids. My hubby had to read out the marriage contract and declare his love for me before he was allowed to enter. He entered the room and then "You may kiss the bride"... I saw a lot of phones snapping pictures like paparazzi.

The cars!

Hubby and grromsmen

Bridesmaids preparing breakfast for groom and groomsmen

Washing vegetables?

Special wasabi and mustard cookies
Reading out the marriage contract!

Pretty flowers!
We left the room at 8 am and continued with the tea ceremony. It was quite fast as my relatives could not make it there. Then there were more photo sessions.

With my pretty bridesmaids

Group photo

With groomsmen

After the tea ceremony, we were ready to leave my house/home stay (well, for today only). My dad had to walk with me to the car with a red umbrella and upon entering the car I had to throw away an old hand-fan and when the car move forward a little, my dad had to pass me a new hand-fan. My grandmother and mother also prepared some food for us to bring over to his house. Once we arrived, his brother lit the firecracker. It was really loud. When it was all over, we went up to our room. We had to eat... well... I don't know what it was... I know there was red dates, a small egg and I can't remember. There were three things in the bowl. That was all I had. Then there was another photo session until his family were ready for the tea ceremony. The tea ceremony was longer as many of his relatives were there. We had to go back to my place before going to the restaurant for our wedding lunch. I think it was already 10:45am

The things we had to eat!

Blissful...

My Wedding - Part 3

We finally get our photo albums in December! They were very very heavy mainly because of the crystal cover.

I really look different with make up. Lol. I received so many positive comments. Mostly... I do not look like Chinese... and I look pretty (blush)

Thank you. I think maybe I should learn how to make up... *Quickly go YouTube and learn!*

Here are some pictures from my pre wedding album:

Warm feeling!
I love this... My baby is with us... Looks like a happy family here :)
She is pretty also right?
Got feel leh? I love the long veil.. so pretty :))
This one also nice... Not bad right?
A lot of my friends were doubtful of the quality when I told them I signed a package in Seremban... Well, I totally understand that! I was a little worried (>.< maybe I was very worried) about this before I saw my pictures. Lol

Since I already tried, I know now... the quality in Seremban is also ok de!

Since I was already at the bridal studio, the staff asked if I wanted to try the gowns for the actual day. Yay :) I can choose different gowns...

The lightest ever...
Of course, they took my measurements again... This time my measurement all shrunk!!! I lose weight a few weeks ago because I was sick... My gosh... I cannot believe I am so flat now (blush)...

This time I tried about 18 gowns... These gowns are all different from the ones I tried for photo shoot... So nice... I could try on so many gowns. I do not feel tired at all! Haha :) No make up and contact lenses so ignore my face... Just focus on the gowns!
I like the color but it is just too loooong!
I like the long tail...
I love the back view of this dress...
I really love this gown. It is simple, lacey and nice. I just wish the tail could be longer.
My sisters all prefer this gown. It is also very nice!
This time I was a little more picky.  The staff helped me choose a few to let me try first... Then I kept going back to choose new gowns... I think I went back four or five times... Just to make sure I did not miss any nice gowns... haha

I believe I definitely spent longer this time trying to choose what I really want and be completely satisfied with my choice. At least I did not call them the next day or later on telling them I want to change one of the gowns... I think I took around two hours trying 18 gowns and more than 30 minutes deciding which one I want. I can only choose 1 wedding gown and 2 evening gown... So I had to choose carefully :)

My Wedding - Part 2

Monday, February 3, 2014

Before our pre-wedding photo shoot. we went shopping for my wedding shoes at Sunway Pyramid. I bought two pairs... I spent so long hunting for the shoes. I love it! I bought a few shirts for hubby so he will have different colors to match my gowns... lol

Bling bling! Love it...

I bought VS bra and fake eyelashes one day before our photo shoot. I was busy doing my mani padi so the staff brought the VS bra and eyelashes to me and let me choose slowly... lol. My nails were not long enough so I had to use fake nails. So uncomfortable. I need to wash my hair but with the nails... I don't think I can... so I ended up at the saloon to wash my hair... The staff waited for me... They were going to close but since my mum asked them to wait, they waited. We rushed over right after my mani padi. I feel like a queen that day. Lol.

My nails... fake nails...
We woke up early the next morning... Reached the bridal studio at around 9 am... Make up time... and I look totally different... So nice and magical... lol

Make up and hair do in my purple gown
In a blue gown now...
My baby was pretty as well... She will  be in the photo shoot with us!
Our hair accessories were kind of matching...

Our photo shoot took one whole day! We had lunch at about 12 pm then my hubby drive to Putrajaya. We reached Putrajaya at about 2 pm and continue taking pictures. I feel that my face was sore from smiling so much in one day...  We went to different places there and actually other than the bridge and the lake, I thought the other places were just normal... so normal... nothing special... I was thinking... How will the photos turn out?

The photo shoot ended at about 8:30 pm and by the time we reached home it was already 10 pm... I had to remove the thick make up... Seriously, it was thick! Then I had to shower and wash my messy and puffy hair... Since I had 6 different outfits, I had 6 different hair styles to go with each gowns! I thought my hair was totally damaged but no... The make up artist told me to use conditioner and my hair became how it was like... maybe a little damaged but I cannot see or feel... lol

Super super tired!!!

Then it was time to select the photos about two weeks later. I was looking forward to the results as I was afraid I would look tired and sleepy in the photos.

My Wedding - Part 1

Monday, January 27, 2014

Our wedding is finally over. All the preparations we did was for 19 January 2014! It was hectic but everything was worth it. I want to remember all these...

In July 2013, we started looking around for a bridal studio for our pre-wedding photo shoots. We wanted to know the price range and what the package were like. We went to the bridal studios around SS2 area. We only went to three of the bridal studio which were de-Casamia, Lasposa Bridal Gallery and Korea Artiz Studio. Maybe because it was very competitive there, the staffs said bad things about other bridal studios there. They were very aggressive as well. The photos were great but their aggressiveness turned me away. The service at Korea Artiz Studio was not as aggressive but it was a little to expensive for us. What I was most concerned about was the services and then the gowns of course... followed by the quality of the photos.

The following week, I went to do research on the bridal studios in Seremban. I looked at their package and the gowns. The price is a lot cheaper than SS2 area but the choice was also very limited. I went to almost all the bridal studios in Seremban. I think I went to 6 or 7 bridal studios. Some had great service, some were just so-so and some were awful.

We decided to go with Passion Bridal Selection as the package is attractive, the service was great and the photo albums were nicer. We paid the deposit in May 2013. We decided to do our pre-wedding photo shoot on 23 August 2013 and outdoor location will be Putrajaya. Two weeks before our photo shoot, my hubby accompanied me to try out the wedding gowns. The selection of the gown seems to be very limited at first but still I can only choose a total of 6 wedding gown, evening gowns and traditional costumes. They actually have more than 200 gowns there. So it was good enough for me. We went there at about 3 pm... they took my measurements then I looked at all the gowns. I tried more than 30 gowns in about two hours and I took half an hour to pick out my favorites. In the end, I chose 2 wedding gowns and 4 evening gowns. I let go of traditional costumes as the evening gowns were more attractive to me.

Some of the gowns I tried... There are some that looked awful on me so I won't post those :p

My favorite color :)
Evening gown :)
A white wedding gown.... I love this one
My favorite of all :)
My hubby love this as well :p
There is a mirror so you can see the front and back view in this.
My hubby's comment - Did you just walk out from the forest?

The next day, I regret on my choice so I called them the next day and asked if I could change one of the gown. They were really nice and changed one of the dress for me. Then a few days before my photo shoot, I decided to call them again to change another gown. I know it is troublesome but I still tried to call and see if it is still possible to change the gown since it is a once in a lifetime thing. They were fine with it as well... Phew... What a relief... Their service is really good and most importantly they were very honest. There is no hidden charges or anything like that. Everything is made very clear to us... such as what is included and what is not. I am very happy with their service.

Busy busy day!

Thursday, January 9, 2014

9 days left to my wedding! Super busy today as my future in laws came to visit with a basket of alcohol, fruits and other things. I was a little nervous as we has really little time left. My mum went to London and travel around Europe for a month. She just came back yesterday! I should have gone on a wedding-moon kind of thing instead of the traditional Chinese wedding! But still it is not just up to me :(

Selfie today
We spent the whole day today to visit our neighbors, relatives and friends to distribute the wedding invitation cards as well as the biscuits/cakes (to be given to relatives and friends on bride's side). We were super busy from 7 am and did not even had time for breakfast and lunch. We finally took a break at around 3 pm for our first meal. We had a little rest for about an hour or two and we continue making calls to confirm on the attendance. After dinner, we went visiting around again! Just came back at around 11:30 pm!

We already started making calls about two to three months ago... a lot of them say they will go but when we went there to distribute the cards and biscuits, they all change their mind. Maybe something came up but we have already reserved so many tables and even booked the bus for them to go to JB. We understand that it is far. Now that they all say that they will not go, no one will be taking the bus! What should I do? I only have 9 days left! Please don't drive me crazy >.<

These are the biscuits/cakes to be distributed!
A lot of things happen recently... I cannot believe a person can be so heartless... Ignoring our question when we did nothing wrong... After giving the invitation card and biscuits, she did not respond as well... but after we left, she ask a middle person to call us to inform us to get the card and biscuits back because she is not going... She could have told us face to face. I really don't mind! Wasting out time and energy XD

Such a heartless and childish way to act as a grown up who is nearly 40 years old! I am totally impressed... There is no word to describe her...

I just need to let out my frustration today!
