A walk down memory lane...

There were so many memories here...

We buried our dead tortoise somewhere in this park...
We used to roller skate around the park a lot

Youbike!
I wanted to try the bikes...

The park looks so new and colorful now...
Last time it was not colorful!
Kids will love it!

The apartment we stayed for a few years...
We survived through many typhoons and earthquakes (including 921 earthquake) in this home...
The super friendly neighbor next door...
How nostalgic...

It still looks the same...
I guess they maintained the place really well!

Walked around the area but it was no longer the same...
A lot of new shops and apartments nearby...

Anyway, breakfast time...

This was the place we decided...

We ordered Fried Dough 油条 (NT15)
Taste is normal...

Hot Soybean with egg (NT 25)
Cannot really taste the egg...

Chicken floss egg roll (NT30)
Hubby likes this...
Not for me...

Halfway through, we received...

We can use the tissue...
But we cannot vote!

After breakfast, we walked to Dayeh Takashimaya...
The place we used to go almost every week...

The aquarium...

The reason I came here was for these...
Puffs were so delicious back then...

Now... the taste and size were so different...
hmm...
A little disappointed... but still we bought a few to try...

We bought six of them...
We tried all the flavors... Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Cream, Original and Butter
Original is the best...

Total cost is NT235
We also get a free Matcha Ice Cream Puff...

It was frozen...
So of course it was super hard...
Hubby said it was not delicious!

I took hubby back to my school!

I miss those times...
Time really flies...

Time for our next destination...

Taipei Astronomical Museum!

Bad news is...
It was close when we were there!
I was so freaking tired but it was close...
It was partly my fault... Mainly hubby's fault!
Well, we switched the days around and I forgot that it was closed on Mondays...
*sob*

Even though it was Monday, it was extremely crowded...
A lot of guided tours from Korea, Japan and China...

There were so many things to see...
Well, I am not into history and stuff...
So I got bored quite easily...
I had been here a number of times on school trips and stuff...
so...
There were lots and lots of bronze...
For me, once I had seen a few of them...
I had already seen all of them...
They were just different in color, size or shape...
So after a while I told hubby "I had enough of bronze"
Same goes to the handwriting, scrolls and painting
So after seeing all these things for a while...
I turned to hubby and said "I had enough of handwriting... scrolls... paintings"

We spent about 3 hours in there...
There  were a lot to see but we were already tired so we left at about 5 pm

Still a lot of people outside...

We saw a very helpful person at the bus station who helped us with our transportation problem...
We were unsure of where to go next actually and he suggested us to skip Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall as it was already late...  He suggested Shilin night market... but we went there already...
Based on his suggestion, we decided to go to Wufenpu and Raohe Night Market!

***
How to get there
Get on bus 540 and get off at Dazhi MRT
Take brown line and switch at blue line at Zhongxiao fuxing station and get off at Houshanpi Station
It took about one hour to reach
Once we reach, we started asking around for directions

When we reached, we decided to get a phone data...
We went in to the first shop we saw...
Taiwan mobile...
There is NT100 credit in the sim card and includes 2 GB data
Cost: NT500

Finally we can use Google map!
Feel so much safer this way!
We saw Songshan Station which was really near to the night market...
But...
It was under construction...

Wufenpu

We were there for about 20 minutes...
All I saw was clothes and there is no price at all...
All the clothes were bundled together and since there were no price tags, we decided to leave...
I did not want to buy clothes there...

So we left and walked on to Raohe Night Market...

We saw a beautiful temple right next to the night market

Raohe night market!

It is very crowded...
Looking forward to eat delicious food!

I wanted to try this!
A big no no to hubby so...
Next time I need to bring someone who eats pork!

Extra big fried chicken chop!
Cost: NT60

There is a NT10 shop just opposite so I went in...
Not everything is NT10...
Those without price tags are NT10...
I bought a medicine box (NT15), a hair wrap (NT10), two disposable raincoats (NT20 each) and a pack brush (NT10)
Total cost: NT75

We ordered 2 bowls of braised pork rice... again!
Cost: NT25 each

Cranberry lime juice
Cost: NT35

I tried the sample... I like it!
It is a little sour and sweet...

We spent more than an hour here...
Walked back to Houshanpi Station
Passed by Watsons and went in to see my skincare products...
Took a really quick look...
Only bought a hair gel for NT149
I took out hubby's hair gel and left it at home in Seremban...
That was why we bought it here...

Next destination is Miramar!

***

A very long one...

We went up from there...

Time to buy ticket!

Blur pictures...
Sorry about that...
Hmm...

I have extreme fear of heights...
So...
Maybe I was a little shaky...

We also received two Haagen Dazs discount voucher (NT50)
but we did not use it...

A clear one... hehe

I found the ticket so I took another picture back in Malaysia...

A few pictures taken on the ferris wheel...

Very pretty right?

I was so scared...

but still smile :)

and smile...

My hands were sweaty...
Hubby continue laughing...

Afterwards, we took the free shuttle back to Jiantan Station...
The bus was totally full!
