Hello! I am back with an update on my Taiwan trip!
It took me quite a while to sit and blog while looking through the pictures...
Trying hard to remember...
Next time I will force myself to blog right after the trip while everything was still fresh... lol

We left our minsu at 10 am!
Bye bye Taipei!
We stopped at Taipei Main Station first...
Cost: NT16
We wanted to leave our baggage at the lockers...
We put our small luggage in to the medium sized locker (electronic) and it cost us NT60 for 6 hours...
There would be no change but we put in NT100 without reading the instructions carefully...
hmm...
If you do not have enough coins, don't worry
Look out for these guys!
Change your notes for coins here!
We walked on and found the big locker (key operated) for NT100 per day
We decided to leave our baggage at the locker for four days so we paid NT400 straight...
It was totally wrong!
We were supposed to put the initial amount only...
Luckily we went over to the staff and told them the case so we did not need to pay extra!
After all that were settled, we went for lunch!
I used to love this place
Total cost: NT305
I had no idea what we ordered...
I looked at the menu and choose something cheap... lol
Not too bad la...
Hubby did not really like it but he thinks it was healthier than KFC and McDonalds...
I like it but I was so full!
After lunch, we were off to Taipei Zoo...
I went there so often as a kid...
The last time I went to zoo was four years ago... the very same zoo!

The ticket was to see the Pandas!
To be honest they were not strict with the times and they don't even check the ticket...

Took the train to the top so we do not have to walk uphill!

We spent about two to three hours there...
It was really hot and the zoo is really big!

Finished a few sections and decide to leave...
The journey back to Taipei Main Station was about 30 minutes and cost NT28 per person
We went back for our luggage
At 3:40 pm we went to buy bus tickets to Taichung!
We decided on the bus based on the price... lol
We bought the ticket and quickly rushed to get on to the bus because we only had a few minutes before the bus went off
NT210 per person from Taipei to Taichung
The seat is actually comfortable
However, I did feel dizzy and a little sick when we reached our destination
The journey was about 2 hours 20 minutes
Got off at Chao Ma Bus Station
We walked from the bus station to our minsu...
It took us about 30 minutes!
Finally reached our minsu!
The bed was extra comfy :)
Our home for two nights!

Total cost was NT1960
NT980 per night during weekdays

It is actually quite safe as you need the card to get in...
The room was exactly like the pictures shown on the website!

Hubby loves the TV!
Don't expect great view from the balcony...
I love the mirror!
Slippers provided
A small fridge and clothes stand
The shower,sink and mirror
Towels and hair dryer were provided
Simple toiletries were provided
Overall, this minsu is well maintained and is very comfortable...
This minsu is really near to the famous Fengjia Night Market!

We walked for about 10 minutes from our minsu!

We saw a crowd there so we stopped by to see
It seems to be very popular...
We were given the order form...
We decided to try one...
After paying we had to wait for about 15 minutes and...
This is so delicious!
The corn is sweet and fresh :)

Chicken rolls...
There are a few flavors to choose...
Wasabi, Fiery sauce (not spicy), Korean Sauce, Salt and Pepper, Lemon and Curry
Three for NT100
We chose Korean sauce, salt and pepper and fiery sauce
It is delicious... Very juicy... The sauce were great too!
Crab for lazy people!
Fried soft shell crabs
Cost: NT50
It is quite nice... a little salty... very crispy
Hubby finished most of them... I ate a little just to try...
Direct translation would be car wheel biscuits... lol
It is a little like waffle (made to shape like wheels) with fillings on the inside
There were quite a lot of different fillings...
Butter, Cheese, Oreo, Yam, Peanut and more
The process of making these
We bought three of these for NT35
Oreo was hubby's choice!
The other two was butter and peanut...
The waffle was a little too thick so we did not really like it but the fillings were great!
I love butter... oreo was not my cup of tea and peanut was a little too dry for my taste...
We were quite full already so we decided to walk back...
We bought some fruits because we need something healthy...
I chose sour mango (as usual) and hubby chose papaya
Sour mango was NT20 and papaya was NT10
Our last stop...
Milk teas!
Hubby ordered Vanilla Tiramisu NT33
This is too sweet for hubby and it does not taste much like tiramisu... more like normal coffee milk tea...
I ordered Green Tea NT20
I like my green tea... It is not too sweet!
We went back to our minsu to relax...
Hubby loves the TV...
We relax with our fruits and drinks :)
Then fell asleep...
