Continuing my Taiwan Trip...

We left our minsu at around 9:30 am...
Since public transport in Hualian is not that frequent or convenient...
We decided to walk...

We followed Google Maps...

This place is so pretty...
Somewhere Google Maps brought us to... lol

and another one...

I think we walked for about 30 minutes...

Our first stop today is Qing Seminary 吉安慶修院

Entrance fee is NT30 per person

Actually it is a NT30 shopping voucher... imo

Some information about the place... Hubby did explain to me but I did not remember it...

Ooh...

So fun...

The instructions...

One with hubby :)

We went over to the shop...

We can only use one voucher at a time...
Bath salt... Hmm...
These cost NT15 each and we bought these just for the sake of using the vouchers...

This is what I want...
It cost NT80...
With the voucher, we had to pay NT50

Wrote our message and hanged it along with all the others...
I had always wanted to do this...
I saw these in animes and comics a lot when I was younger...

No idea what it is called...
hmm... for praying and wishing for good luck...

I want GOOD LUCK!!!
Very serious one...

Time to leave...

We saw a bus when we were on the opposite side of the road and got on...

Time to rest a little and...
Liyu Lake is next!
Cost: NT60 per person

The bus was not frequent...
It is not as convenient in Hualian to depend on public transport...

We took a picture of the timetable because it is not frequent

To be completely honest....
There was nothing much there...
The view was great... but that was about it...
We had to wait for the next bus to come and there was nothing for us to do...

You can rent bicycles nearby
I did not feel like cycling here...

Not interested in paddling boats so...

We were here just to see the lake and take lots and lots of pictures... lol

The lake

It is a little hot... lol
Nope, I am not frustrated because I have nothing else to do...

Another one...

I think this is enough... It looks the same to me anyway...

Not a lot of people were there so it is so easy to take nice pictures without removing the crowd... lol
We went on weekday so maybe that was why it was so empty...

Finally the bus came...
We took the bus to Hualian Sugar Factory
It cost NT286 for 2 person...
We paid NT300 because we did not have the exact amount and no change is given...
It took about an hour to reach...

No idea why we went there... lol

The hotel!

The cheapest room cost NT2190 per night
It is Japanese theme

Posing outside our room
Just joking... Posing for fun :)

We walked over to the main area...
We decided to have lunch just because there was nothing much to do and see here...
Oh god... Today must be the most boring day of all...

The place we decided to go in...

Dumpling Noodles for NT80
I like dumplings!
The taste is not bad actually but it is quite pricey...

Next...
I saw quite a lot of people say the ice cream here is great!

So...
This is yam and vanilla NT50
It is quite sweet :)
Nothing to scream about to be honest.
The price is a little steep for an ice cream...

We left the place after one hour...
We went to the nearest train station, Guangfu Station

Yes, this is the station...

Our ticket back to Hualian for NT94 per person

While waiting for the train...
The wind was quite strong that day...
That was why my hair was in such a mess... lol

We walked to the night market again...
We were too early this time...
We arrived at 4:30pm

We waited at the 7-eleven nearby...
We bought the chocolate milk tea (NT25)
It was a little too sweet but it was so NICE!

At 5 pm sharp we went in to look for food!
Super hungry...

My first stop!

Salty crispy chicken (NT40) and fried chicken skin (NT20 each)

A very happy girl with her favorite food!

Hubby's favorite duck skin!
NT20 each

Then I went back to get more of my favorite food...
We went out of control! lol

We wanted to buy the famous coffin bread but it was closed on the day...
Since we have no other choice...

We tried the other shop (next to the famous one)...

We ordered Honey Chicken (NT45) this time...
To be honest it is actually quite similar to the famous coffin bread...
Hubby like this better... I prefer the pepper chicken flavour more...
The bread is actually the same to me...
I like it too!

Oh... Our free milk tea with the purchase of coffin bread!

Hubby ordered a yam milk from the famous fruit juice  stall for NT50
We forgot to take a picture of it... but hubby hates it!

We went back to our minsu to take our luggage to move to another minsu...
The minsu lady helped us call a taxi (cost us NT100) to get there...
Our stay at Hualian was pretty hectic as we move around too much...
Mainly because I wanted to stay at Bayview Hotel and the current minsu was fully booked...
We should have planned earlier...

Off we go to our last minsu in Hualian!
Hualian 11 (眺望云海) website here!
NT1000 per night (weekday)

Standard Double Room

It looks pretty similar to the pictures on the website...

The bed and blanket was a little damp... Other than that, it was fine.

Cute lamp and nice mirror

The TV and teddy bear!

Bathroom this way...

 The toilet is clean

The shower is simple

Overall, the place is quite nice for the price...
Other than the damp blanket and bed, everything else was fine...
The bathroom is clean...

After resting for a while, we went out to do our laundry.

We spent a total of NT130 including the detergent and dryer...
It was more expensive than the one we tried in Taichung!
We spent a total of NT80 in Taichung...

We went for a walk while waiting...

Went to FamilyMart and I just had to buy something...
Two packs of Lipton Milk Tea for NT35
Grape Tea was NT25
I like the grape tea but it was a little too sweet!
The milk tea was okay too :)

Once our clothes were dry, we went back to rest and do whatever we should and sleep...
Looking forward to go back to Taipei anf hopefully it will be better than today  :)

Good Night!
