Happy Valentines Day!
Thank you for visiting my blog :)

***

A brand new day!

Start the day with selfie :)
The most important thing to do... lol...
I meant breakfast....

Breakfast is important to make sure we have the energy to enjoy the rest of the day!

We went to a nearby shop...
The shop was small and there were limited tables and chairs...

We ordered Bacon toast, Magma toast and Jasmine milk tea...
We like it :)
Total cost: NT85

After breakfast, we took a bus to National Museum of Natural Science
We nearly missed the stop...
Suddenly hubby looked at the Google map and we got off quickly...
When we swiped our EasyCard, the balance was still the same...

Later on we realized that in Taichung, bus ride for the first 8km is free!
Very happy :)

We reached our destination and spent some time deciding which kind of ticket to get...
In the end,we asked the staff and bought the ticket they recommended...

Entrance fee: NT150 (NT120 with Youth Travel Card)

We  bought the ticket that includes special exhibition and all the others except space theatre
There were a lot of things to see!
We spent about 3 hours there!
This museum is interactive so I like this museum better :)

We went for the special exhibition gallery first!

Wow... It is so tall!

Oviraptorosaur egg with embryo

There is even a photo booth where we could take pictures with dinosaurs!
The picture was sent to our email...

Next...

Chinese Medicine!

The clinic during old China dynasty era...

In this area, we learned about Chinese medicine, the herbs, the tools and more...

Pagoda

Playing with water...

In these areas, we learned about the inventions to transfer water from one place to another...
It is very interesting!
It is so much easier to learn when it is interactive!

Pump type...
So fun... lol
There were a few others and they were fun as well...

Hello... Hey...
Oh... I was listening to the information...

There were a lot of bugs for you to get to know as well...
These were interactive as well...
You can click on the information you want to know as well and move the microscope around to view other insects...

This is fun...
You can move this around to find the fishes or just watch the corals...
The display is on the left...

Dinosaurs!

Another one...

I remember when I was young I took a picture with this fellow before...
I think I was about 3-5 years old back then...
Not sure if it was the same place...

Cute polar bear!

Diets that can delay ageing!
I quickly asked hubby to take this picture...
I need to delay ageing!

Garlic, buckwheat, lemon, brocolli, tomato, asparagus, kiwi fruit, grape and tea all have anti-cancer and anti-oxidation properties, which help to delay ageing!
I am totally eating more of these!

Pretty models...

We were hungry so we decided to leave...

I was looking at our itinerary to decide where to go next...
We decided to go to Yizhong Street (一中街)

We tried looking for food stalls there but, maybe we were at the wrong place... lol

In the end...

7-eleven again!

We bought Caesar Salad Sandwich with pudding milk for NT49 and bacon spaghetti with cream sauce for NT86

I love the sandwich and pudding milk... The sandwich was so fresh...
The spaghetti was not bad...very creamy...

Pretty and colorful cotton candies!

We went to Taichung Train Station to buy Sun Moon Lake passes...
Turns out that we do not need to buy it in advance...
Since we were already there, we decided to visit Miyahara 宮原眼科

The entrance...

The decorations were really nice!

We were here to see the place, of course...

The outside...

The inside...

We were here for about 15-20 minutes...
Just for... pictures!

This place is really nice...
I like it :)

This place feels like the film set of Chinese historical period drama... imo

A few more pictures before we left...

Last one with hubby :)

Time for food!

We took bus 68 back to Fengjia Night Market.
The journey was about 25 minutes...

We saw Teh Tarik there!
3 cups for NT100

Hmm... Not interested as we do prefer milk teas :)

We continued on to find food...

We went in to try the beef because it was NT80!

The menu...

厚切霜降牛排 NT180
We ordered a more expensive one when we were in there...
Because it was their signature dish...
Hmm...

It was a little overcooked imo...
It was a little hard... lol
Hubby was fine with it but I do prefer it a little raw...
It comes with soup and drinks as well...
Not too bad...

It was pretty crowded

Next...

I had always wanted to try this but was always too full...
Finally today it is!

Cheese potato NT60
I ate all the broccoli because I want to delay ageing... lol
I love this... There were generous amount of fillings and cheese!

Our last stop... as always...
Milk teas!

Bubble tea (NT40) and Wulong tea (NT15)

These were just okay...Hubby did not really like them...

We went back to our minsu a little earlier because we wanted to do our laundry
We went to a nearby laundromat...

Washing cost NT40 for a small one
Dryer cost NT10 per 6 minutes (18 minutes required for our clothes to be completely dry)

A vending machine for detergents and softener...

NT10 each for detergent, softener and bleach
We decided that a detergent will be enough... lol

In total we spent NT80...

We waited for about one and a half hour then we went back and get ready for the next day!
