Taiwan Trip Day 10 (3 November 2014) Ruisui

We had a goooood rest here because it is super comfy here!
The view was so nice as well...

We tried to wake up at 3 am to watch the sunrise...
Hubby went over to the window but it was still dark so he woke up almost every half an hour to check... We had no idea why it was still dark and finally at 6 am we gave up...
lol. honestly we did wake up ok!!
The sun just wants to sleep in a little?

Anyway...
We were kind of disappointed because the view would have been great!

Looking out the window imagining the sunrise... lol

We got ready at 7:30 am and went down for the buffet breakfast!
Something I had always love!
Hotel buffet when my parents took us to Guam (so many years ago) was superb!
My expectations were so high... lol

The dining area

Our breakfast

Hubby getting his food

The utensils corner

Congee and soup

Condiments for congee

Steam buns...

Eggs and hot dogs

Sauces available

Nuggets and hash browns

Some veggies?

Bread and all the different spreads available

Salad, fruits and pudding

The food was just normal... but the room and the view was definitely worth the price :)

After breakfast we went for a walk... just... the rooftop...
Some views taken there...

We stayed there for a while...

We took the free shuttle at 9:30 am to Hualien Station.
It took about 30 minutes...

The shuttle is comfy too!

We went to the locker first...
Initial cost is NT20

Then we went in to buy our tickets to Ruisui...

One way ticket to hot spring paradise!
Cost NT143 per person

We arrived at 11:40 am

Time to cycle!
We rented a bicycle for NT100 each for a day

It was drizzling so... lucky I kept the raincoat... lol

I was really tired... Hmmm...
Should have exercise more...

Finally...

Ruisui Hot Spring!

We left the bicycles nearby without locking it...
I was a little worried but the lady said no need to lock...

We walked uphill and yay ^,^
We made it...

NT150 per person (unlimited time)

We spent more than an hour there...
So relaxing!

The water here is cold
I like this actually...

The water is hot here
Hubby and I both started here...
Hubby love this...
I find it a little hot but still enjoyable

Not a very crowded place so it is quiet...
I took these pictures after everyone left...
When we were there, there were two other couples there...
Most of the people went for the private hot spring (in a room)

Since we brought our swimwear, the lady suggest the outdoor pool...

The water is extremely hot here!
I tried it for a while but I did not like this...
Hubby finds it quite nice...
He talked to a grandpa there about history...
The grandpa told him stories... lol
Very friendly...

Before they left, the granny gave us some cookies...
Super nice couple!

I love the peanut cream waffles!

We took a quick shower after that...
We were still wondering whether our bicycles were still there...
We were kind of surprised that it was still there... lol
We cycled back to Ruisui Station and returned the bicycles...

We went to the station first to buy the tickets back to Hualian...
NT92 per person

We walked around a little...
I felt cold so we bought Jiang Mu Cha (ginger tea) nearby for NT30

We decided to eat here...

The menu

Braised pork on rice 滷肉飯 (NT50)
It is super big bowl!
Very nice... well... most taste quite the same... lol

Thin noodles 油面 (NT50)
Hubby thinks it is quite plain...
The one he tried at Shilin Night Market was better...

Herbal Pork Rib Soup 藥燉排骨湯 (NT50)
The taste is not bad... but a little bitter
I like it :)

The chilli was good but a little too spicy for me...
We were very full after the meal! Very satisfied :)

We went back to the station and waited for our train...

We paid another NT40 for the locker service...
We did not have enough coins so we went to buy Dove chocolate (NT35) to get the change... lol

Called our minsu lady for taxi (NT100)

We went back to 日之出民宿 (website here)
NT1899 (Sunday to Thursday)

Superior Double Room

The super comfy and pretty bed

The pretty dresser

The lamp is pretty too!

Watching TV while having supper :)
Nice

The electric kettle, teas and pretty cups in a corner

Basic toiletries, face towel and hair dryer
Very neat

This is the toilet

The toilet is clean as well

Feel hungry so...
We went to Zhiqiang Night Market (自强夜市) for food again!

Hubby's first stop!
His favourite duck skin... It is heaven for hubby... lol
It is not deep fried but it still taste good to me...
Hubby ordered 4 for NT20 each

This is the most famous coffin bread!

Since the queue was not too bad, today it is!

A lot of varieties

We chose pepper chicken NT50
Looks yummy right?
It was totally yummy!
We wanted to order another one but the queue was long...
Too lazy to queue for another one...

If I remembered correctly, we did get a free milk tea along with our  order.

Looking at the picture... I feel so hungry...
It was really good!

Looks familiar?

The same bbq corn (NT61) from Day 8!
Hubby loves it so much...

Our last stop!

Fries (NT30) and fried chicken skin (NT20 each)!
The fries was a little too hard... but the chicken skin is super nice...
I love it!

Before going back, hubby bought Taro milk tea for NT40
Again >,<

Back in our room...
Something quick and delicious :)
My chicken and mushroom soup from 7-eleven

I just love the food there!
I eat until I finally fell asleep...
Sounds scary right?

Not 100% true la...
Haha
